Personal Statement:
David is a life-long Tennessee resident, the majority of which has been in the Nashville area. He began his higher education at Middle Tennessee State University in 1983. After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, David began his career in Law Enforcement with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation working as an intern in the Marijuana Eradication Task Force in 1987. Following that, he began working for the Murfreesboro Police Department, while continuing his education at Middle Tennessee State University in his quest for a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration.
After two years with the Murfreesboro Police Department, David was hired by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department where he served proudly until 1998. During this time, he received his Masters Degree from MTSU, and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law, graduating in July of 1998. In October 1998, after receiving the bar exam results, David opened a small corporate law office in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee.
His firm, Ridings Law Group, P.C., is currently located in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Over the years, the firm has practiced mostly in the areas of Employment Law, Contract Law, Criminal Defense, Family Law, Business Organization, Credit Remediation, Identity Theft Recovery, and Police Advocacy. David currently is General Counsel for Tennessee Highway Patrol Retired Officers Association and has represented members as a contract attorney for the Southern States Police Benevolent Association and the local Fraternal Order of Police.
David is a successful entrepreneur having successfully assisted in the startups of several companies over the years. The latest endeavor with NAMESAFE™, Inc. should prove to have significant potential for success and for the deterrence of identity theft in this country as we know it. Most importantly, however, David is a devoted husband to his wife Lynda, and they are the proud parents of their five boys. Together they are active members of Cornerstone Church, where they serve on the youth staff and teach the 12th Grade Sunday School class. They currently reside with their five (5) sons in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

Mr. Elliott is a 1998 graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. While at Tennessee Tech, he was a member of the soccer team. Mr. Elliott is a 2005 graduate of the Nashville School of Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Elliott proudly served for six years as a Gallatin Police Officer. While at Gallatin, he awarded the Valorous Service Award for extraordinary and heroic actions in the line of duty. Mr. Elliott then worked for the law firm of Evans, Jones & Reynolds before entering private practice in Sumner County.
Mr. Elliott is licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Tennessee. His practice areas include Criminal Defense, Family Mediations, Business Formation and Litigation, Wills & Probate, and Civil Litigation.
Mr. Elliott is a member of the Sumner County and Tennessee Bar Associations. He is also a Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator.
Mr. Elliott is a life-long Tennessee resident, the majority of which has been in Hendersonville. He resides in Hendersonville with his wife and two (2) children.
